Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Plum Plum Girl
Confession time, I didn’t like this lipstick when I first bought it. I picked it up in my local pharmacist when I was buying, oh I don’t know, ear drops or something. I just couldn’t tear myself away from the colour. However, I disliked the formula and wore it a couple of times before giving up on it.
I rediscovered Plum Plum Girl when I was tidying up my makeup drawer, and well, it’s serious guys, I think I’m in love. Plum Plum Girl is a gorgeous, rich, dark pink-y purple shade. It’s a deep enough berry for the winter months but not too dramatic for the lighter, brighter summer days. I don’t know what the hell my problem was with the formula first time round because it’s great. The only problem I have with it is that it's rather slow drying. It can take 4 or 5 minutes for the lipstick to fully dry down, but once it's set it's not going anywhere. It has a gel-like consistency, and one I would recommend for anyone with dry or naturally wrinkly lips. Unlike most liquid lipsticks, it makes your lips look plumper. It lasts with ease through snacks and drinks, in the end a rather oily stir fry did bring it down, but only partly, and it was easy to reapply without spoiling the colour.

The packaging is adorable, it’s a small clear tube, and easy to pop in a pocket or a bag. I will have to try a couple more shades to see how they compare, but right now, Plum Plum Girl has entered my top three of drug store liquid lipsticks. What an honour, I know.
