Andrew's Bath

Andrew's Bath was one of my favourite books as a child. It features Andrew, trying to have a bath, and ending up with a crocodile chewing on his flannel. Poor Andrew, clearly, he should have gone to Lush. Read on for my mini Lush empties review.

Rose Jam Shower Gel

We’re off to a strong start with Rose Jam. This stuff smells glorious, and leaves a lingering scent in the bathroom, although, alas not on my skin. It’s good to wash with, with no sticky residue and leaving my skin feeling clean. It also makes a great bubble bath.

Would I repurchase? Yes.

Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner

Like the shower gel, this smells amazing. However, I really don’t see the point of this product. I thought it might be thick enough to shave my legs with, like a normal conditioner, but it’s not, which makes this product redundant. It’s not a soap, it’s not a moisturizer, and it’s not a shaving product, so what is it? Well, you smooth it on your skin and it leaves it soft. It left a nice smell on my skin, but that’s it. Not worth the money.

Would I repurchase? No.

Cup O’Coffee Face and Body mask

I love coffee scrubs (and coffee in general to be honest) so I was pretty darn excited to try a Lush version. Sadly, it disappointed me. The first problem is the scent, it barely smells like coffee. I love using a coffee scrub first thing in the morning to perk me up, and this, unusually for a Lush product, has a very weak scent. Secondly, I dislike the texture. I’ve used scrubs from Lush in the past and they’ve been a nice combination of gritty but not too rough. The coffee scrub from lush is almost painful. It also actively encourages you to use it on your face. I tried it a couple of times, and each time ended up with painful breakouts and red, irritated skin. Not for me I’m afraid.

Would I repurchase? No.

I'm a little disillusioned with Lush at the moment. Why are all their bath bombs now almost six pounds? That’s ludicrous. Who the hell can afford a six-pound bath? Now with the insane price hikes, Lush is pretty much out of my price range, which is a shame. Are there any Lush products that you enjoy? Let me know!
