Capital!

When a lady stopped me in the street I thought she was trying to get me to sign up to a charity, and I started thinking of a polite way to extract myself.

'I love your lipstick!' she exclaimed instead.

'Oh. Thank you,' I replied, momentarily caught off guard. 'It's Nyx Copenhagen.'

'It's such a nice colour,' she continued. 'Is it long lasting?'

'Yes, just blot it with a tissue and it'll last all day,' I replied.

After our conversation the lady shot off to Boots, to no doubt purchase her own lipstick.

Copenhagen has always been my favourite of Nyx's Soft Matte Lipstick range and I was delighted to find out that they've recently released a bullet lipstick counterpart. The Suede Matte lipstick version is slightly pinker than Copenhagen SMLC but it’s a very close shade match, and has the same gorgeous plummy berry tone. Below you can see it swatched, Copenhagen lipstick is at the top, below it is Copenhagen Soft Matte Lip Cream, and at the bottom is Copenhagen lip pencil.

The formula of this lipstick is gorgeous, it has a velvet-like texture, and feels plush and comfortable on the lips, even after hours of wear. It lasts through drinking and eating, although will smear if you wipe it. A quick blot with a tissue obviously sorts that out though. Below is Copenhagen on the lips :

I have previously tried Cold Brew in this formula, but I didn’t enjoy that shade as much as this one, as cool browns don’t suit my complexion. But the formula seems to remain consistent across the range. The packaging is, of course, adorable, with a little heart on the lipstick tube.

There are some really excellent colours in this range, from pinks to greens. I love this lipstick, and I don’t understand why no one seems to be talking about this range? Go and treat yourself to one, you won’t be sorry.
